LEGAL DISCLAIMER – WASHINGTON STATE

The services provided by Josh Pasma are faith-based, pastoral, educational, and peer-support in nature. I am not a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), Psychologist, Psychiatrist, Social Worker, or any other state-licensed behavioral health provider. I do not provide psychotherapy, clinical counseling, diagnosis, treatment, or assessment of mental health disorders as defined under Washington State law.

All services offered are provided exclusively as:

• Christian / pastoral counseling

• Biblical guidance

• Spiritual support

• Peer support services

• Life encouragement and discipleship

These services fall under the religious and non-clinical counseling exemption outlined in RCW 18.19, which allows faith-based and peer-support practitioners to offer non-licensed services as long as they do not represent themselves as state-licensed providers.

If you are experiencing a mental health crisis, have a diagnosed mental illness, or require clinical treatment, please seek help from a licensed mental health professional or call 988 for crisis support. Participation in services with me signifies your understanding that this is not clinical mental health care, not a substitute for medical or psychological treatment, and is offered solely as voluntary spiritual encouragement and non-clinical support.

INFORMED CONSENT NOTICE:

By scheduling or participating in any session, you acknowledge and agree that you are receiving non-clinical, faith-based pastoral support. You further agree that no guarantees of outcome are offered and that you remain responsible for your own decisions. You understand that this is not therapy and does not create a doctor-patient or counselor-client relationship as defined under Washington law.
